चंडीगढ़.एशिया कप के फाइनल से पहले कराची के मशहूर ‘फ्रेंच बीच’ पर हुई पार्टी में भारतीय क्रिकेटरों की मौजमस्ती की खबर को भले ही बीसीसीआई नकार रहा हो, लेकिन सच्चई कुछ और ही है।

इस ‘नाइट पार्टी’ की तस्वीरों में सुरेश रैना, रोहित शर्मा और प्रवीण कुमार जमकर मस्ती करते दिखाई दे रहे हैं। गौरतलब है कि छह जुलाई को हुए फाइनल में श्रीलंका ने भारत को पटखनी दी थी और मैच में सुरेश रैना व रोहित शर्मा सस्ते में निपट गए थे।

पार्टी से संबंधित तस्वीरें टीवी चैनल्स पर चलने से खिलाड़ियों और भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (बीसीसीआई) की पोल खुल गई है। इन तस्वीरों से पहले बोर्ड और खिलाड़ियों ने पार्टी की खबर को बेबुनियाद बताया था।

पाकिस्तान के अखबार ‘द जंग’ ने सबसे पहले ‘बीच पार्टी’ की खबर प्रकाशित की थी। इस खबर के मुताबिक पार्टी में रैना, रोहित तथा प्रवीण के अलावा दो और भारतीय क्रिकेटर भी थे। पहले कहा जा रहा था कि पार्टी फाइनल से दो दिन पहले यानी चार जुलाई की रात को हुई थी लेकिन ‘द जंग’ के सीनियर रिपोर्टर अब्दुल माजिद भट्टी की रिपोर्ट में साफ लिखा गया है कि टीम इंडिया के ये खिलाड़ी फाइनल मैच से पहले (पांच जुलाई की रात को) फ्रेंच बीच पर गए थे। रिपोर्ट में लिखा गया है कि खिलाड़ी रातभर मस्ती करने के बाद तड़के होटल लौटे थे और इसी वजह से फाइनल के लिए तरोताजा नहीं हो सके।

12 बजे तक मेरे साथ थे : इस बारे में ‘भास्कर’ ने जब बोर्ड के सीईओ रत्नाकर शेट्टी से पूछा तो उन्होंने कहा, ‘एसीसी अवॉर्ड समारोह से हम जल्दी निकल आए थे।

पूरी टीम रात 12 बजे तक होटल में मेरे साथ थी। उसके बाद अगर कोई गया हो तो मैं नहीं जानता।’ शेट्टी ने कहा कि हो सकता है कि यह चार जुलाई की बात हो। अगर कोई तथ्य सामने आया तो जांच की जाएगी।

समारोह के बाद गए थे : ‘द जंग’

इस बारे में ‘भास्कर’ ने जब पाकिस्तान के ‘द जंग’ अखबार से संपर्क किया तो बताया गया कि खिलाड़ी पांच जुलाई की रात को ही पार्टी में गए थे। यह पार्टी भारतीय खिलाड़ियों के कुछ स्थानीय दोस्तों ने अरेंज की थी।

एशिया कप के फाइनल से मैच से पूर्व की इन तस्वीरों के सामने आने के बाद क्या सुरेश रैना , प्रवीण कुमार , और रोहित शर्मा को टीम इंडिया से बाहर कर वनडे क्रिकेट में सीनियर खिलाड़ियो को अवसर देना चाहिए ? अपने विचार हमें लिख भेजें ..
